First ADVENTURES is a recreational ministry of First United Methodist Church of Royal Oak, Michigan that aims to provide adults with high-adventure activities for interacting with our amazing world while providing opportunities for spiritual formation and experiences in compassionate community.
Hiking, backpacking, canoeing and kayaking, rock climbing, running, bicycling, cross country and downhill skiing … who knows what we will get into? Our recent activities have included weekly Road Biking and Running Training, Rock Climbing and Ice Fishing/Ice Skating. Upcoming activities will include a Spring Hike, Geocaching, Canoeing, Fishing, and more Rock Climbing. An adventure to the Adirondacks of upstate New York is scheduled for August 2010.
Our activities are generally open to all adults and we occasionally host all ages events when specified as such (but children must be under responsible oversight of their parents or parent approved adult).
